Abstract

The study focused on compensation package and employee's performance in a quoted bank in South-West, Nigeria.

The objective of the study is to determine the effect of compensation package on high labour turnover.

The study adopted survey design. The population of the study was one thousand four hundred and fifty (1450) employees.

The sample size for the study is 314 with the use of Taro Yamani's formula. A questionnaire was applied in the collection of data from Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) PLC.

T-test analysis was employed for the analysis of data. Findings indicated that compensation packages to high extent adequately reduced high labour turnover.

The study concluded that the role of compensation implementation improves employee's performance to achieve organizational goal.

It was recommended that the organisation should know the importance of compensation in order to create fair compensation packages to all employees for the benefit of both the organization and employees.
