Abstract

This study examined the management of domestic violence and women entrepreneurs in Nigeria, using the Edo-North senatorial district as evidence. e objective of the study was to investigate the relationship between the management of domestic violence and women entrepreneurs in Nigeria.

The study adopted a survey research design, and the population of the study consisted of 180 respondents. e sample size of the study was 150, achieved through the administration of questionnaires. e primary source of data was explored, and a reliability coefficient of 0.82 was considered satisfactory for the study.

The findings revealed that the major causes of domestic violence against women’s entrepreneurship development include economic insecurity, physical and psychological injury or abuse by partners, and resilience challenges among women. e study concluded that physical violence affects women entrepreneurs’ business needs for operation and also underscores the urgent need for increased awareness, support, and action.

The study recommended that laws and policies protecting women from physical violence should be strengthened, and that the government should develop and implement workplace policies that address emotional violence.
